Shipping

Where do you ship from?
Massachusetts, in the United States.

Where do you ship to?
Anywhere that the USPS is currently shipping to. To check which places I can't ship to right now, see this page.

Do you offer local pickup?
Not at this time. If I have larger paintings and posters available in the future, I may offer pickup at North Station in Boston on the weekends.

When will you ship out orders?
On average, it takes me around 2 to 6 days to print a shipping label, package your order, and drop it off at the post office. However, please allow for 2 weeks of handling.

How long will shipping take?
Within the US: 1 to 4 weeks.
Outside of the US: 2 to 8 weeks.

If you select tracked shipping, you'll receive a USPS tracking number from Pirate Ship.

I changed my address / I wrote the wrong address!
I double-check addresses and will get in touch with you through email if I notice that something might be missing. However, to avoid any potential issues, please double-check your address before payment.

If you do notice a mistake after finishing your order and before receiving a tracking number, please contact me ASAP at inbox.banshees@gmail.com. Once orders have been shipped, the package is out of my hands and I will be unable to make any further changes. If a package is returned to me, I can resend it to you for the cost of shipping.

Import Taxes

Lost/Damaged Mail

In this case, lost means that an order has not been delivered in 2+ months. Damaged means your item has been severely bent, torn, or waterlogged. However, this does not include minor or unavoidable damage like dented corners on things sent in envelopes with a stamp.

For untracked orders of originals and handpainted items, I cannot offer a refund or exact recreation if the item is damage or lost. However, I can send you a laser print reproduction.

For tracked orders of originals and handpainted items I will offer a 75% refund of the item itself (minus shipping and taxes for international customers) if it arrives severely damaged, or doesn't arrive at all.

Tip: If your item arrives bent, and it was painted on cotton paper (like Legion Stonehenge paper), you can flatten it by following this tutorial. It's what I use to flatten paintings!

However, I recommend wetting the back of the paper on one surface, and then moving it to a completely dry board before pressing it. I also recommend leaving it there for a 3 days or more. If it doesn't flatten out enough the first time, re-wet and re-press it one or two more times.

You also must use an absorbent pressing surface (like paper board, or a non-absorbent board with 4 or more clean sheets of paper sandwiched between the painting and the board) in order for this to work.

Materials, Safety, and Disposal

Materials:

For gouache, I use Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache (Permanent White, Permanent Yellow Deep, Winsor Red, Winsor Green, Quinacridone Magenta), ShinHan Professional Designers Gouache (Ivory Black, Ultramarine Deep), Schmincke Horadam Artist Gouache - Vanadium Yellow and Holbein Artists' Gouache - Primary Cyan

All are non-toxic and have high lightfastness ratings. However, they should still be kept away from direct sunlight & and ideally displayed in a matted frame with UV resistant glass.

For ink and markers, I use Higgins Waterproof India Ink and Sakura Pigma Micron, Sepia, 0.25mm.

For painting surfaces, I use Legion Stonehenge paper and Saunders Waterford watercolor paper. Both are 100% cotton and archival.

Zines are printed on Staples Cream Colored Copy Paper or Strathmore 400 Drawing Paper

For stickers, I use laser prints on adhesive vinyl with matte Oracal laminate. For postcards, I get them done through Fireball Printing. Their postcards are inkjet prints with glossy laminate.

For packaging on untracked orders, I use paper envelopes, black cardstock protective cards, washi tape, and clear plastic bags or paper-based glassine wrapping.

Warnings for safe use: Take care when handling paper edges to avoid paper cuts.

Disposal instructions: Paintings, stickers, prints, and packaging can be disposed of in curbside trash bins. Paper-based packaging may be recycled, but due to their plastic content, stickers, prints, and clear plastic bags may not be recycled. Before recycling originals, check to see if your area recycles cotton paper with gouache paint and ink on it.

Age restrictions: Works are intended to be purchased and handled by individuals 18 and up.
